Two 200-ton central chiller skids above 5000 gallon tank, closed loop plate exchanger and side-stream filter system. project included the mezzanine construction, which arrived pre-cut and ready to assemble.

Process cooling has grown to become an MDF specialty area. We excel at the design and manufacture of simple to highly complex thermal and mechanical systems, and install them in high-volume plastics processing plants worldwide.

Leveraging MDF Strenghts

There are cost and quality efficiencies MDF gains due to our internal sheet metal, pipe, refrigeration and service businesses. They allow us to meet a wider variety of customer requirements without contracting for it, and the end results fully meet customer expectations and our expectations for proper engineering, assembly and reliability in service. Customers can expect tighter coordination of efforts and timing, and pre-fabrications and sub-assemblies to reduce field time. It adds up to gaining higher system quality, experience, reduced time, single-point accountability, and reduced overall risk.

  • Process Plumbing - chilled water, process water, high-purity piping, domestic hot water, steam, storm drain, hydraulic, fire system, sprinklers.
  • Sheet Metal - Air handling systems, including pressurized for HVAC, heat recovery, low temp process air, enclosures, metalized insulated ventilation.
  • Process Cooling & Refrigeration - Small portable liquid chillers to large, multi-circuited central systems for industrial process chilling, HVAC, ice rinks, low-temp chilled air systems, free-cooling systems, closed loop systems, evaporative towers, closed and open water reservoirs, point of use temperature control recirculators, bag or sand and gravel filters, PLC, analog and telemetry controls.
  • Service - MDF enjoys an expanding base of commercial and industrial customers where we provide installation and on-going service of industrial and commercial systems. Along with long term supplier relationships, and on-site service crews with the right tools and qualified training, our customers receive the benefits of a well coordinated, yet self-motivated work ethic that shows in our attention to detail and customer-centric attitudes.

Multiple buildings enclose 4 million square feet of space for plastics processing complex. MDF/Freeze-Co provided virtually all of the process cooling, chilled water, pumping systems, filteration and other mechanicals and controls.

Large scale processing is more efficient with central process cooling and chilled water systems.
